The 48th G7 Summit was a meeting of the Group of Seven held at Schloss Elmau in Bavaria. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz chaired the conference from 26 June - 28 June 2022, which focused on the global economy as well as foreign and security policy.
Our work on behalf of the client encompassed the entire planning of the necessary Event-IT infrastructure at Schloss Elmau, as well as the multi-story press center built specifically for this purpose directly in front of the castle, which accommodated hundreds of journalists and officials.
Countless kilometers of fiber-optic and copper cables were laid around the grounds over the course of several weeks to ensure that the planned redundant Internet connections were available at every necessary location. Comprehensive Wi-Fi networks were deployed throughout the entire castle complex, the press area and the outdoor grounds to guarantee consistent Internet coverage across the entire conference area. The VoIP telephone infrastructure for the press area, created specifically for the conference, was also part of our scope of services
